The Susquehanna Bass Association is a bass club based in Oneonta, NY. We have approximately 70 members from across the central New York region. The club was formed in 1987, and fishes regular bass tournaments every week or two from June through the end of October. We fish in two-person teams, usually with a five-fish limit.

The eighth tournament of the 2021 season was held on Canadarago Lake, September 12, in memory of Justin Robert Hoag. It was another tough tournament as we fought strong SW winds for most of the day and only 13 of the 27 boats were able to bring in a five-fish limit. Jim O'Brien and Jim O'Brien Jr. had another good tournament, coming in first with 14.84 lb.
The Fords are still in the lead in the Angler of the Year Race, but their lead is now only a little over 2 pounds. But AOY is determined after dropping each team's two lowest weights, so it's hard to know what will happen. See results and standings for more details.
The next tournament will be on Cross Lake on September 26, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Jim O'Brien and Jim O'Brien, Jr.
Congratulations to Matt and Rich Ford, Susquehanna Bass Association Anglers of the Year (sponsored by Empire Toyota) for the third year in a row. This year they had a total weight of 107.46 lb (after dropping their two lowest weights). Their outstanding season included two first place finishes, one with a 17.31 lb bag at Cross lake. They also placed second twice, third once and fourth once.
