The Susquehanna Bass Association is a bass club based in Oneonta, NY. We have approximately 70 members from across the central New York region. The club was formed in 1987, and fishes regular bass tournaments every week or two from June through the end of October. We fish in two-person teams, usually with a five-fish limit.

The final regular season tournament of 2025 was held on Otsego Lake, October 5. Twenty one teams competed on a beautiful fall day with warm temperatures, lots of sunshine and not too much wind. Fishing was a little slow for many, with only 13 five-fish limits weighed in. The team of Jim and Jimmy O'Brien took first place with a mix of largemouths and smallmouths weighing 18.58 lb, including the 4.05 lb big smallie of the day.

The last tournament of the year will be the Art and Nate VanSteenburg Memorial Classic, October 18 and 19. First day will be on Otsego Lake and the second day will be on Canadarago Lake. Remember that you must have fished six regular-season tournaments to qualify for the Classic.
Winners Jimmy and Jim O'Brien
