The Susquehanna Bass Association is a bass club based in Oneonta, NY. We have approximately 70 members from across the central New York region. The club was formed in 1987, and fishes regular bass tournaments every week or two from June through the end of October. We fish in two-person teams, usually with a five-fish limit.
For information, call Vic: (607) 432-5262 or email bassguide@outlook.com.
Note that the club is presently full and we are not accepting new members. If you would like to join, please check back occasionally to see if openings become available.

The seventh tournament of the 2026 season was held on Cayuga Lake on August 30. Twenty two teams fished on an overcast day with a few rain showers. Fishing was great for some, not so great for others! Remarkably, there were seven five-fish limits over 20 pounds, including a new club record of 28.75 lb caught by the first-place team of Colin Nabinger and Joe Bunzey. Colin's 7.44 lb largemouth was the biggest caught in one of our tournaments in more than 20 years, and Dean Raymond caught a 5.19 lb smallmouth that is a new club record.
See results and standings for more details.
The next club tournament will be held on Canadarago Lake on September 13, launching at 7 a.m.

Winners Colin Nabinger and Joe Bunzey
Congratulations to Kevin McGibney, Susquehanna Bass Association Angler of the Year for 2025. In his best eight tournaments he had a weight of 141.36 lb. With the help of his partners (Kyle Patrick, Ryan Jones, Gary Jones) he took first place twice (Otisco and Canadarago Lakes) second place on Cross lake and fourth place twice (Otsego and Cayuga Lakes). He had five-fish limits in all nine tournaments that he fished. Last year he was runner up for AOY, Just 1.3 lb behind Hunter and Lynn Baciuska.
