The Susquehanna Bass Association is a bass club based in Oneonta, NY. We have approximately 70 members from across the central New York region. The club was formed in 1987, and fishes regular bass tournaments every week or two from June through the end of October. We fish in two-person teams, usually with a five-fish limit.

The annual Art and Nate VanSteenburg Memorial Classic (sponsored by the Cottage Day Spa) was held on Otsego and Canadarago Lakes, October 18 and 19. Weather was good on the first day on Otsego, and most people had a good day. Sunday was a little different; started out well, but brutal winds made fishing tough later in the day and many came in early. The team of Josh and Breanna Shaffer brought in the biggest bags both days and their two-day total of 37.58 lb gave them a decisive overall win for the tournament
